Love the mix of subjects but I would probably trim it down to 10 images. If you can sit down with someone and gauge which images illicit an immediate response.

I work for a local newspaper and I’d kill to have pictures like that in our paper! Nice stuff!

Looks straight out of National Geographic! Nicely done all around. What hardware do you use?

Thank you! I mainly use a Sony A7 with a Zeiss 55mm 1.8. Some of the pictures were taken with a Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 ais or a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 ais.

These are all very nice. Newspaper photographers (the ethical ones, at least) will never get a chance to adjust their subject, surroundings, or background. You don’t get to ask people to “hey, do that again,” or anything like that. Half of being a good newspaper photographer is being able to grab the good shot as it’s happening and finding a good angle. You don’t often get a ton of time to find the right angle, either, and really have to think on your feet, often making the best of very bad situations. ... I only say this because I have no idea what went into any of your photos before you took them.
